iPhone 4 + Salvaged DVD Lens = Macro Camera
Inspired by this article. The lens I found was a lot more focused though, so the pictures I could take had a much smaller depth-of-field and are much closer to the actual object. 
Here’s a pic of what the set up looks like:
The lens is set in a 3/8” by 3/8” hole in card stock paper, slipped behind a Case Mate ID Case.
